ROCK ‘N ROLL REVUE

October 10th | Theater de Liefde, Haarlem

Young people are growing up in a world of filters, algorithms, and polished beats. Everything looks perfect—but where is the realness? The spontaneity, the emotion, the raw energy? The Rock ’n Roll Revue is for those who don’t fit into that picture. For young people who crave authentic art, who long for freedom, for sound that isn’t made to please, but to move.

The Dukes of Harlem are more than a band; they are a movement. With this Revue, they want to set something in motion right here in Haarlem, a city where Rock ’n Roll rarely gets the space it deserves. While Amsterdam and The Hague often lead cultural movements, this night aims to show that Haarlem is equally brimming with talent, idealism, and artistic power.

Young people are searching for identity in a world that often revolves only around visibility. Music like Rock ’n Roll—unfiltered, honest, emotional—can offer guidance in that phase of life. It shows that art doesn’t have to be a product; it can be a way to express yourself, to experience freedom, to resist the pressure of the outside world. This night offers a chance to feel something different, something real. And for Haarlem, this project is a cultural injection: a celebration of creativity that dares to color outside the lines, and a space where a new generation can feel heard and seen.

ROCK ‘N ROLL REVOLUTION

The Wolfhound residency

Each quarter, on the last Thursday of the second month, something stirs beneath the streets of Haarlem.
The cellar of The Wolfhound, a pub already soaked in good stories and strong pints, transforms into a sacred hall for the Rock ’n Roll Revolution.
This ain’t just another bar gig. This is The Dukes of Harlem inviting you into their underground temple of noise, sweat, dreams and defiance.
It’s a place to test new material, jam with guest artists, and bring something alive that’s more than just music. Because Rock ’n Roll isn’t just a genre — it’s a religion
It’s punk and power pop, it’s gospel and glam, it’s anthems and sweet ballads, it’s sweaty pub gigs and poetic theatre shows.
It wears many faces, but the spirit’s the same. Freedom, rebellion, love, heartbreak, dreaming big, and never bowing down to the system.

That’s why every night has a theme.
Maybe it’s Liverpool one month. Or a tribute to Americana the next.
Or maybe they just dive deep into songs of escape, heartbreak or revolution.
Whatever it is, they build a story around it. They make it matter.

So why The Wolfhound?
Because they love it. Because it’s been home to them and because every revolution starts underground. They do this for the lovers. The misfits. The believers.
For the ones who want more from music than just background noise.
For those who believe music can still change the world!

“Let’s build something together, something worth remembering.”
